Botanic Name: Artemisia dracunculus sativa

Description: The chef's best friend, a must for every garden.  An anise flavor that turns ordinary main dishes into masterpieces.

Uses: Tarragon goes well with meat and vegetables and is a top choice in any hearty recipe. Delicious in mustards, vinegars & oils.

Harvesting: Cut throughout the summer. Use fresh or frozen. To freeze, wet the leaves first.

Best Results: Cut to the ground throughout the season, to maintain a supply of fresh foliage.

Companion Planting: French tarragon should enhance the growth of any vegetable it is near.
