Looking for a quick but tasty dinner idea? Serve with rice pilaf and a nice vegetable or salad and you've got a recipe for success. Prep time includes marinating time.

SERVES 4

  1. In large plastic food bag (or bowl), combine lemon juice, oil, oregano, garlic and pepper.
  2. Trim and discard excess fat from chicken.
  3. Rinse and place chicken in bag, or bowl, with marinade.
  4. Seal bag (if using) and turn to mix chicken with marinade.
  5. Let stand for 10 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. (You can keep this in a refrigerator for up to 1 day in advance).
  7. Remove chicken from marinade and place pieces slightly apart on a rack in a broiler pan or cook on the barbeque.
  8. Reserve marinade.
  9. Broil about 6 inches from heat, turning as needed to brown evenly.
  10. Cook until meat is no longer pink at bone (25 to 30 minutes).
  11. Baste occasionally with reserved marinade.

This is a quick and tasty, main meal recipe.  Serve with rice pilaf and vegetables or salad for a wonderful meal!!  Prep time includes marinating time.

Spicy Oregano:- Oregano - Cuban, Oregano - Greek, Oregano - Hot & Spicy, Oregano - Italian.

Mild Oregano:- Oregano - Compact, Oregano - Golden, Oregano - Thumbles Gold, Oregano - Variegated.
